BioI was born and grew up in California, spent a couple years at college in Oregon, moved to Minnesota to complete my bachelor's degree and have lived here for over 22 years now. Hoo boy.
Been married, been divorced, gotten married again. I have two wonderful kids who are both unique individuals and works in progress (aren't we all?) I'm married to a terrific guy, Mark, originally from Dubuque, Iowa. We met on the internet, of course--like, duh. Where the hell else do you meet people anymore?
We bought a house in March 2003, a 1956 rambler, and the garden is wonder--mature trees, loads o' different lilies, lilacs, hostas. It looked FAAAAABulous for our Hawaiian-themed wedding we hosted in our backyard in July 2004.
I have absolutely nothing to complain about as of late... so this live journal might be a little bit boring. There's nothing like a little angst to liven up the day, and I've been remarkably angst-free lately.
Oh, wait--I have two teenagers, a 10th-grader and a college student. The tenth-grader switched to a local charter school in November 2005. Life is much better for everybody concerned in his new environment. The college student is under no obligation to tell me anything about her grades, so who knows how she's doing? She's all about working as a Starbucks barista, going to her part-time classes, hanging out with her buddies from the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and staying up late watching DVD's. Anxiety, here I come!!!
